Responsibilities

  • Daily Execution of Import/Export Logistics Operations Responsible for hands-on execution of import and export shipments via sea freight, air freight, and international express for company IT hardware, servers, electromechanical equipment, instruments, etc.; handle booking, drayage, overseas pickup, domestic delivery, and door-to-door transportation tracking; monitor shipment milestones in real time and update cargo status promptly.
  • Coordinate with domestic and overseas freight forwarders, trucking companies, and overseas agents; follow up on transportation progress and handle routine logistics exceptions such as transit delays, cargo damage, and short shipments.
  • Import/Export Documentation and Customs Clearance Execution (Core Tasks) Organize and review full sets of import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, contracts, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc., to ensure complete document consistency.
  • Work with customs brokers to submit import/export customs clearance and inspection documents, and track clearance progress at Shanghai ports.
  • Assist in organizing HS code information and verifying declaration elements; support the preparation of basic documentation for samples, repaired goods, and temporary imports/exports; coordinate customs inspections, document amendments, and other clearance matters.
  • Expense Ledger, Reconciliation, and Data Management Collect logistics and customs brokerage invoices, perform cost verification, and maintain ledger entries.
  • Establish import/export logistics operation ledgers, record waybills, customs clearance, transit times, and cost metrics, and periodically prepare logistics reports.
  • Assist the manager with logistics cost statistics and basic cost estimation work.
  • Internal and External Communication & Collaboration Independently handle email correspondence in English with overseas suppliers and agents regarding arrivals, transit, and documentation.
  • Collaborate internally with procurement, finance, and warehouse teams to align arrival schedules; coordinate with the warehouse for receiving and tallying, and assist finance with documentation for outbound payments and expense write-offs.
  • Other Supporting Duties Assist in establishing import/export logistics SOPs and compiling operational documentation. Support document preparation for special business operations such as ATA Carnets, returned repairs, and reverse logistics for returns/exchanges. Complete other logistics-related tasks assigned by the Import/Export Logistics Manager.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or above, with majors in International Economics & Trade, Logistics Management, or Supply Chain preferred.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in import/export logistics and customs clearance, with experience in IT equipment, electromechanical instruments, and hardware devices preferred; familiar with import/export customs clearance processes at Shanghai ports.
  • Familiar with the full lifecycle of sea, air, and international express import/export processes, as well as basic Incoterms; familiar with import/export customs documentation preparation and review workflows, with basic knowledge of HS codes, declaration elements, 3C, and 3C exemption concepts preferred; capable of independently managing end-to-end cargo transportation and customs execution, as well as handling routine logistics and clearance issues.
  • Fluent in written English, capable of communicating independently with overseas partners via email; proficient in Excel for ledger management and data organization; experience with TMS/ERP systems is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and rigorous with strong documentation risk awareness; good multitasking abilities, smooth communication and coordination skills, and capable of handling day-to-day work pressure; highly responsible with a proactive approach to sharing work progress.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on import/export experience with IT hardware, servers, network equipment, and electromechanical instruments.
  • Familiar with customs declaration procedures for temporary imports/exports, repaired goods, and samples.
  • Direct experience working with customs brokers to handle inspections and documentation adjustments at Shanghai ports.
