Role Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Logistics Specialist to join our team, focusing on regulatory compliance related to SABER certification, Medical Devices Marketing Authorization (MDMA), IECEE standards, and Saudi Customs procedures. The ideal candidate will manage the import/export process, ensure compliance with local and international regulations, and ensure the efficient flow of medical devices and other goods through customs and regulatory channels.
Responsibilities:
SABER Certification Management:
Handle the registration and certification process for products under the SABER program, ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabia’s product safety and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure products meet safety standards for import and sale in Saudi Arabia.
MDMA (Medical Devices Marketing Authorization) Compliance:
Ensure that all medical devices comply with MDMA regulations set by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA).
Liaise with the SFDA to manage the approval process for medical devices, ensuring that necessary documentation, such as technical files and clinical data, is submitted accurately.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of MDMA guidelines and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabia’s healthcare and medical device regulations.
IECEE (International Electrotechnical Commission) Compliance:
Ensure that medical devices and electrical products meet international safety and performance standards as required by IECEE certification.
Coordinate with testing laboratories and certification bodies to ensure product quality and safety standards are met for global trade.
Saudi Customs:
Oversee all aspects of customs clearance, ensuring that medical devices and other goods comply with Saudi Customs regulations.
Manage the preparation and submission of import/export documentation, including invoices, certificates of origin, and regulatory certifications required by Saudi Customs.
Logistics Coordination:
Monitor and optimize the flow of goods to and from Saudi Arabia, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to regulatory and safety standards.
Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure the timely and compliant movement of medical devices and related products.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to SABER certifications, MDMA approvals, IECEE compliance, and customs declarations.
Ensure all logistics operations are properly documented, and reports are generated for internal and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Communication:
Act as a liaison between internal teams, regulatory authorities, suppliers, and logistics providers.
Provide regular updates to management regarding compliance status, logistics operations, and any regulatory changes affecting the business.
Requirements:
Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in logistics, customs, and regulatory compliance within Saudi Arabia, with specific knowledge of SABER, MDMA (Medical Devices Marketing Authorization), IECEE, and Saudi Customs procedures.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Saudi import/export regulations, including SABER and MDMA processes for medical devices.
Familiarity with international standards (IECEE) for electrical products and medical devices.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and adapt to regulatory changes.
