Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage end-to-end logistics operations for inbound and outbound shipments through air, sea, and multimodal transportation, in close collaboration with Warehousing, Finished Goods Planning, Raw Material Planning, and Finance to ensure seamless material flow.
  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and suppliers to ensure efficient transportation, customs clearance, and continuous service improvement.
  • Optimize logistics costs, transportation lead times, and load utilization by maximizing container and truck capacity through effective load planning and shipment consolidation.
  • Plan inbound and outbound shipment schedules based on available market logistics options and alignment with production and raw material availability to ensure smooth and on-time execution.
  • Optimize logistics performance by improving transportation lead times, reducing costs, and maximizing container and truck utilization through effective load planning and shipment consolidation.
  • Monitor freight forwarder performance by tracking SLAs, KPIs, cost efficiency, lead time adherence, and service quality, ensuring compliance with business requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate shipment execution to support customer order fulfillment and achieve OTIF (On Time In Full) targets for direct deliveries and distribution centers (DCs).
  • Prepare and maintain shipping and import/export documentation, ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations, monitor shipment progress, resolve logistics issues, and maintain accurate ERP records, logistics reports, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Good understanding of import/export procedures, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and transportation operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Transportation

  • Yazaki Egypt provides transportation to and from the plant through designated assembly points.
