The Logistics/Operations Specialist is responsible for coordinating the safety, service, and other miscellaneous activities to ensure the Organization’s facility operates at an optimal level.
Responsibilities of Logistics/Operations Specialist:
Warehouse experience is a must
Ensure that facilities problems are identified and repaired quickly
Establish, implement, maintain, and audit safety protocols for Emergency Action Plan, LOTO, IIPP, Annual Fire Safety, First Aid Training, and Bi-Annual Forklift Training
Acquire quotes for new or replacement tools, maintenance programs, infrastructure needs such as for security systems, alarms, HVAC, etc.
Assist Quality with the administration of calibration and preventative maintenance program as needed.
Acquire quotes for new or replacement tools, maintenance programs, infrastructure needs including but not limited to security systems, alarms, HVAC
Support the IT team with technology needs such as, but not limited to, troubleshooting and repair; spec and acquire computers, printers, and replacement hardware; auditing and maintaining server/APC, networking hardware, and more
Perform Shipping, receiving and Warehouse transactions in support of the business, including inventory control.
Assist in the coordination of special events such as holiday luncheons
Work together with other professionals to maintain standards and functionality
Other duties as assigned
Requirements of Logistics/Operations Specialist:
High School diploma or GED
3+ years’ experience working with vendors and building management
Experience with ERP, MRP or logistics software
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Excellent interpersonal skills
High attention to detail with the ability to multitask
Ability to lift/move up to 25lbs regularly
