An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Logistics Operations Officer to join a dynamic logistics operation in Maputo, Mozambique.
We're looking for a hands-on operations professional with proven experience in container transport, trucking, shunting, and port logistics. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating transport operations from dispatch through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate daily truck dispatch and route planning
• Manage container transport, shunting, and depot operations
• Track vehicle movements and resolve operational delays
• Oversee container documentation, EIRs, PODs, and transport records
• Liaise with transporters, terminal operators, depots, and clients
• Ensure driver compliance, safety, and operational standards
• Produce daily operational and KPI reports
Requirements:
✔ Minimum 5 years' experience in container transport, freight forwarding, or port logistics
✔ Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management, or a related field
✔ Experience managing truck fleets and shunting operations
✔ Strong understanding of container logistics, EIRs, depot operations, and shipping documentation
✔ Excellent planning, communication, and problem-solving skills
✔ Advanced MS Excel skills; TMS experience advantageous
✔ Portuguese and English proficiency will be highly advantageous
