Role Description
Abham Freight is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Operations
Coordinator to manage the complete coordination of all customer shipments—from booking to
final delivery. The Logistics Operations Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day
backend logistics operations of shipments across North America and international markets. This
role ensures that all freight movements are properly scheduled, coordinated, tracked, and
executed efficiently while maintaining strong communication with carriers, terminals, rail
providers, and transportation partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented,
proactive, and capable of managing multiple shipments simultaneously in a fast-paced logistics
environment.
Salary Range: $40,000-50,000/year
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage shipment bookings with ocean, rail and road logistics partners
- Schedule pickups, deliveries, drayage, and intermodal transportation as required
- Monitor and execute shipment milestones, transit progress, and operational timelines
- Communicate directly with carriers, terminals, warehouses, and transportation providers regarding shipment status and operational updates
- Ensure all shipment information is accurately entered and maintained within internal
tracking systems and operational spreadsheets
- Prepare and review booking confirmations, cutoff schedules, and operational docs
- Identify and resolve operational issues, delays, and exceptions before impacting clients
- Coordinate customs-related documentation and operational requirements as needed
- Track and manage container movements, returns, rail schedules, and vessel timelines
- Support internal reporting and maintain accurate shipment records
- Work closely with the Client Operations Coordinator to ensure smooth communication
between backend operations and customer-facing updates
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency and accountability across all active shipments
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics,
Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in freight coordination, logistics, or
transportation operations (brokerage experience a plus).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, email communication, and TMS or
logistics management software.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of domestic and cross-border freight
practices, carrier requirements, and shipping documentation.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to
communicate professionally with both customers and carriers.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet, handle shipment exceptions, and provide
quick resolutions.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
