Position Overview:
A food manufacturing facility in Sealy, TX is seeking an experienced and highly organized Logistics Manager to oversee the efficient and timely flow of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods throughout production and distribution operations. This role plays a critical part in coordinating activities between production, warehousing, transportation, and customer service, while maintaining compliance with food safety and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and coordinate logistics, transportation, and supply chain activities across all departments.
Ensure on-time delivery of raw materials and finished products to meet production and customer demand.
Develop and optimize shipping schedules, routing, and carrier selection for cost-effective delivery.
Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular audits and coordination with warehouse staff.
Collaborate with procurement and production teams to forecast supply needs and prevent shortages.
Lead and supervise a team of logistics coordinators, drivers, and warehouse personnel.
Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to order accuracy, lead times, freight cost, and warehouse efficiency.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and DOT regulations.
Implement and maintain logistics software and tracking systems to improve visibility and control.
Resolve transportation issues, vendor disputes, and customer complaints in a timely manner.
Prepare and manage the logistics budget, including freight, labor, and warehousing expenses.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
5+ years of logistics or supply chain experience, with at least 2 years in a management role (experience in the food industry strongly preferred).
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, WMS, ERP systems, and logistics software.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and deadline-driven environment.
Understanding of USDA, FDA, HACCP, and other food safety and regulatory standards.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing and warehouse setting with exposure to cold storage, forklift traffic, and production equipment.
Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Full-time, on-site role based in Sealy, TX.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
