Job Purpose:

 

Manage and optimize the Group’s inbound and outbound logistics, with a strong focus on the movement of raw materials (leather, technical fabrics, soles) and semi-finished components to produce trekking, outdoor and safety footwear. Ensure efficient and timely material flow to production plants, minimizing costs and wastes while maintaining high quality standards and supporting production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and implement the Group’s global logistics strategy, focusing on the supply chain of raw materials and semi-finished goods sourced from international suppliers.

Manage and optimize inbound logistics (raw materials, technical components) to ensure timely supply to production plants.

Oversee outbound logistics, coordinating the distribution of finished products to end customers, ensuring high service levels.

Supervise and optimize warehouse operations at the main Hub (Aiud, Romania), ensuring efficient material handling, storage, and timely feeding of production lines.

Work together with the Italian headquarters (in particular with Purchasing, Production Planning and Warehouse) to synchronize all the inbound and outbound activities.

Negotiate and manage contracts with logistics providers (freight forwarders, transporters, customs brokers), ensuring service levels align with the specific needs of the footwear manufacturing sector.

Monitor logistics KPIs (lead times, inventory turnover, transportation costs) and implement continuous improvement actions to support production flexibility.

Collaborate closely with Procurement and Production teams to optimize just-in-time material flows and reduce inventory levels without compromising production continuity.

Ensure customs compliance and adherence to international transport regulations, with particular attention to sensitive materials (leather, technical fabrics).

Lead continuous improvement projects (Lean Logistics, process digitalization, material traceability) to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Economics, or similar fields.

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles, preferably in manufacturing environments or companies with global supply chains.

Proven experience managing complex supply chains for raw materials and components sourced from international suppliers (Asia, Europe, etc.).

Experience in implementing ERP/WMS systems and logistics optimization projects.

 

Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership skills, with experience managing distributed teams and relationships with international suppliers.

Results-driven, with the ability to make informed decisions in dynamic environments.

Advanced analytical skills, including logistics cost analysis and material flow optimization.

Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.

Fluent English.

Italian knowledge is a plus.
