We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead and optimize domestic and international logistics operations while ensuring compliance with global trade regulations. This role is responsible for managing freight providers, import/export compliance, transportation costs, supplier performance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, analytical, and project management skills with experience in an international manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee company-wide logistics operations to improve efficiency, cost, and service performance.
- Negotiate and manage freight contracts with transportation providers and logistics partners.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and trade compliance standards.
- Manage relationships with customs brokers, logistics service providers, and suppliers.
- Analyze freight costs, tariffs, duties, and trade agreements to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and improve logistics processes, standard operating procedures, and warehouse material flow.
- Partner with engineering, accounting, legal, sales, and operations teams to support global trade initiatives.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts using Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies.
- Conduct risk assessments, compliance audits, corrective actions, and employee training.
- Supervise and develop logistics personnel while driving operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of logistics experience within an international manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of experience in import/export customs and trade compliance.
- Prior experience working with U.S. Customs, CBSA, and other international trade regulations.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Trade, logistics, transportation, or hazardous goods certifications are a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Pay: Up to $130,000.00 per year
