We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing logistics processes, ensuring efficient transportation and warehousing solutions, and optimizing inventory control. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of logistics systems, and the ability to analyze data to improve operational efficiency.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Logistics Manager in the transportation industry, you will act as the intermediary between shippers and carriers, helping to move goods efficiently and cost-effectively. The responsibilities include negotiating freight rates, securing reliable carriers, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely deliveries.

To also stay updated on industry regulations, market trends, and carrier performance to provide the best service to their clients. In essence, to make sure shipments reach their destination smoothly and on time, all while optimizing costs.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate shipments between shippers and carriers.
Negotiate rates and terms of transport services.
Arrange transportation schedules and routes.
Provide customer service and solve any issues that arise during logistics operations (transportation, warehousing and freight forwarding).
Verify carrier qualifications and insurance coverage.
Monitor the movement of shipments and ensure on-time delivery.
Handle necessary paperwork and documentation for shipments.
Keep up to date with industry regulations and trends.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients and careers for future business opportunities.

MINIMUM PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Educational Background Bachelor’s degree preferred

Technical Qualification / Certification Logistics and/or Supply Chain related preferred

Related Work Experience Transportation, Warehousing and Freight Brokerage experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $59,094.00 – $74,069.00 per year

Expected hours: 35 – 55 per week
