EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Developing and implementing logistics strategies to achieve business goals, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Overseeing logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation for customers, enhancing the customer experience.
  • Managing transportation planning and execution, including carrier selection and optimization.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Interpreting complex data and providing actionable insights, and providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Proactively approaching logistics challenges by identifying, diagnosing, and implementing a plan for resolution.
  • Developing and implementing strategic logistics plans aligned with business needs.
  • Working to find acceptable terms with freight brokers.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with customer receiving and procurement/purchasing associates to identify new business opportunities for new services and expansions.
  • Displaying strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing logistics team.
  • Overseeing and organizing day-to-day operations of logistics team, including the daily review of open order report, expedition of urgent orders, timely resolution of delivery problems, and ensuring shipments are scheduled to ensure delivery within promised deadlines.
  • Reviewing and granting higher-level approval for freight issues related to customer orders – including, but not limited to, replacement orders, damaged claims, swapped pallets, customer returns, expedited shopping, and special freight quotes.
  • Managing cross-functional teams and working collaboratively with other senior executives and department managers.
