Role Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Export & Logistics Coordinator to join our small, close-knit team in Thessaloniki. In this role, you will be the operational backbone of our shipments — managing orders from receipt through delivery, coordinating with freight partners, preparing documentation, and keeping customers informed every step of the way.
This is an entry-level position ideal for a candidate eager to build a career in international trade and logistics. Full training will be provided on internal systems and processes.
Responsibilities
1. Export Order Management
- Receive and process export orders from customers
- Schedule shipments and coordinate container loading
- Liaise with warehouse and production teams to align on readiness and timelines
2. Freight Coordination
- Source and compare freight rates and transit times across ocean, air, road, and rail
- Book transportation and manage relationships with freight forwarders and carriers
3. Export Documentation
- Prepare and manage customs declarations, commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
- Review incoming import documentation and flag duty-related considerations to the team
4. Customer Communication
- Respond to customer inquiries on shipment status and logistics
- Distribute shipping documents and tracking updates
- Provide weekly shipment status reports to customers
- Coordinate sample shipments (inbound and outbound)
- Support the processing of cargo damage claims
5. Administrative Support
- File supplier invoices and freight-related payments
- Track outstanding balances and flag discrepancies to the accounting team
Skills & Qualifications
Logistics Knowledge
- Basic understanding of ocean and air freight operations
- Awareness of customs procedures and international trade regulations
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication
- Ability to coordinate effectively with overseas suppliers, carriers, and customers
- Customer-oriented mindset with a problem-solving attitude
- Comfortable working under time pressure and managing multiple priorities
Language Requirements
- Greek: Native or fluent
- English: Professional working proficiency (written and spoken)
Software & Tools
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with accounting or inventory software is a plus — full training provided
Compensation
- Base Salary: €1,100/month (net)
- Meal Allowance: via Edenred Card
