Role Description

MBFi is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our operations team in Delmas, Mpumalanga.

This full-time, on-site role is responsible for coordinating and optimizing daily logistics, distribution, import, and export activities. The successful candidate will manage inbound and outbound shipments, coordinate international freight movements, schedule deliveries, and work closely with carriers, clearing agents, warehouses, and internal departments to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.

The Logistics Coordinator will also monitor inventory levels, reconcile stock records, support production planning, and ensure all shipping and customs documentation complies with local and international regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate local and international inbound and outbound shipments
  • Manage import and export logistics processes and shipping documentation
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, transport providers, customs agents, and warehouses
  • Schedule deliveries and monitor shipment progress to ensure on-time fulfillment
  • Monitor inventory levels and conduct stock reconciliations
  • Support production planning to prevent stock shortages or delays
  • Prepare logistics reports and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and relevant shipping regulations
  • Collaborate with customer service, supply chain, operations, and production teams
  • Identify process improvements to optimize logistics efficiency and service delivery

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities
  • Customer service mindset with the ability to resolve delivery-related issues effectively
  • Experience with inventory management and warehouse coordination
  • Good understanding of supply chain, transportation, distribution, and order fulfillment processes
  • Experience with import/export operations and international shipping documentation
  • Proficiency in ERP/logistics systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain coordination required
  • Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or international trade will be advantageous
  • Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
