About the Role
Union Star Logistics LLC is looking for a motivated and responsible Freight Coordinator to join our growing team in SAS Nagar (Mohali). The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in freight brokrage and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily freight and transportation operations.
- Communicate with carriers, drivers, shippers, and customers.
- Track shipments and provide timely updates.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries and follow up on shipment status.
- Handle transportation documents, rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs, and related paperwork.
- Resolve shipment-related issues quickly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate shipment and carrier records.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth movement of freight.
- Follow up on deliveries and ensure all required documents are received.
- Support the operations team with other logistics-related activities as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in freight, logistics, trucking, transportation, or a similar role.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Basic knowledge of U.S. freight and transportation operations is preferred.
- Good computer skills and familiarity with email and office software.
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple shipments and tasks at the same time.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
