Job Overview
KD Marketing Group is seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support daily shipping, delivery, inventory, and transportation operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating schedules, communicating with drivers and vendors, tracking shipments, solving operational challenges, and keeping logistics activities running smoothly.
As a Logistics Coordinator, you’ll play an important role in ensuring orders and shipments move efficiently from pickup through final delivery while maintaining accurate records and providing excellent service to customers and business partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily shipments, pickups, deliveries, and transportation schedules
- Communicate with drivers, carriers, vendors, customers, and internal teams regarding shipment status and delivery requirements
- Track shipments and provide timely updates on delays, changes, and delivery confirmations
- Prepare and maintain shipping documents, manifests, bills of lading, delivery records, and related paperwork
- Monitor order fulfillment and coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure shipments are prepared on time
- Assist with route planning and scheduling to improve delivery efficiency and minimize delays
- Resolve shipping, delivery, and scheduling issues quickly and professionally
- Enter and maintain accurate logistics, shipment, and inventory information in company systems
- Monitor carrier performance, delivery timelines, and transportation costs
- Coordinate returns, rescheduled deliveries, damaged shipments, and other logistics-related issues
- Prepare basic operational reports and assist with tracking logistics KPIs
- Maintain organized records and ensure company procedures and transportation requirements are followed
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, dispatch, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize multiple shipments, requests, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable communicating with drivers, customers, vendors, and internal teams
- Ability to learn transportation, inventory, and logistics management systems quickly
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with freight, LTL, parcel, or last-mile delivery operations
- Experience preparing BOLs, manifests, shipment confirmations, or other transportation documentation
- Knowledge of inventory control and order fulfillment processes
- Experience with route optimization or delivery scheduling
- Familiarity with logistics KPIs, reporting, and cost tracking
- Previous experience working with carriers, freight brokers, or third-party logistics providers is a plus
