Job Purpose/Objective
The Logistics Coordinator at MAKEEN supports day-to-day logistics and shipments expediting by ensuring timely coordination of shipment, customs clearance and documentation. This role assists in optimizing logistics processes and acts as a liaison between internal departments and external service providers to ensure accurate and on-time delivery.
Key Accountabilities
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, documentation, and scheduling.
Expedite and liaise with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams to ensure shipments delivery on time. • Communicate with internal teams (e.g., warehouse, production, procurement, sales, aftersales, MRO, finance, IT) to coordinate logistics activities and share shipment status updates.
Maintain accurate records of shipments and logistics activities.
Ensure all logistics processes follow established SOPs and safety guidelines.
Update logistics data into IFS systems and generate basic operational reports.
Track shipment milestones and share updates with concerned teams.
Communicate effectively with procurement, warehouse, and external service providers.
Assist in resolving routine logistics and delivery-related issues.
Apply for governmental requirements of shipments customs clearance (SABER, FASAH…etc). • Escalate delays or exceptions to the Logistics Manager promptly.
Apply for customs duty exemptions when required.
Handling the delivery of materials to secure government locations.
Requirements
Education
Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
Person Specification
Familiarity with logistics documentation such as bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms, with attention to accuracy and compliance.
Proficiency in using logistics management software and systems (e.g., ERP) for data entry, shipment tracking, and record-keeping.
Basic knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
Ability to follow established company policies, processes, and procedures. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and regulatory requirements.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and supply chain operations within manufacturing and maintenance environments, preferably in:
Internal combustion engines
Marine propulsion systems
Power generation equipment
MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) operations
Or Related Industries
