One Floral Group is a wholesale flower producer that provides tailored floral solutions to retail customers throughout North America and is one of the fastest growing producers of floral products. Our business has over four million square feet of growing and production space in more than six facilities in three different climate zones. We have the ability to grow and build a variety of products, including potted plants and planters, outdoor lawn and garden plants, and vegetable propagation in the best conditions.
Under limited the successful candidate will supervise, plan, enforce, lead, and manage the inbound and outbound freight for Hillister, Texas facility. This position requires the ability to communicate with various other departments on a daily basis to co-ordinate all transportation and logistics issues. This position provides expertise, opinions and recommendations to the Director of Logistics with regards to logistics management for the US locations.
Core competencies required:
- Minimum 3 years of logistics experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate proficiency in MS Excel
- Knowledge of customs laws and regulations
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage timelines to ensure delivery of objectives
- Ability to adapt positively to a fast paced, challenging and constantly changing work environment
- Ability to manage large work loads and work under pressure
- Strong team player with self-discipline and motivation to work independently
- Strong organizational, planning and strategic execution skills
- Willingness to work Holidays, afternoons and/or weekends during peak season
- Experience with Business Central and Agri ware ERP software will be an asset
Primary Responsibilities:
•Plan, enforce, lead, and manage inbound and outbound freight for Texas facility.
•Route, sequence sales orders and shipping vessels for both store and warehouse locations.
•Manage the Texas facility’s overall supply chain to ensure accurate, on time delivery of the final product to customers.
•Prepare all export compliance documentation for outbound shipments from Texas facility.
•Book carriers dispatch load through shipper’s edge for US facilities.
•Appointment scheduling for all retail customers for distribution centers.
•Negotiate rates to or below market price.
•Central processing functions (labels, Load List, Load manifest, Bol’s, Greenhouse stamp)
•Apply for phytosanitary certificates for California state agriculture.
•Incoming/outgoing courier services functions.
•Manage drivers, control warehouse entrance.
•Monitor and review outbound/Inbound loads, track and trace from carriers.
•Communicate effectively with various departments on a daily basis to coordinate all transportation and logistics issues, shared responsibilities.
•Learn all aspects of One Floral shipping vessels, racks, cases shippers for proper loading sequence on trucks.
•Ensure timely loading of trucks.
•Manage Paperwork –All outbound paperwork requirements for outbound loads to retail or transfers.
•Receive PO# and Transfers and make sure we file all paperwork accordingly for future records.
•Ship Transfer in Nav according to our internal process and timeline.
•Other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: Competitive compensation based on experience
Hours of work: Standard schedule Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm, weekends and holidays based on business requirement
Vacation: 2 weeks of prorated vacation
