About the Role
Avsar Construction is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our Furniture and Interiors Group (FIG). This role will support the strategic oversight, coordination, and management of furniture and equipment (F&E) deliveries, installation, and project close-outs across a portfolio of K–12 school modernization projects.
This is a client-facing role with high visibility and direct responsibility for ensuring that project logistics run smoothly from planning through completion.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee logistics for F&E delivery and installation across multi-phase projects
Coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure site-readiness and execution
Develop logistics scope, budgets, and schedules with Planning Leads
Monitor and track labor budgets and installation timelines
Handle all documentation related to F&E delivery and close-out
Conduct site walks and verify scope completion with clients
Communicate effectively with site administrators, project managers, and operations personnel
Manage procurement-related tasks including PO tracking, vendor coordination, and invoice processing
Identify and coordinate staging areas, travel paths, and disposal of old furniture
Prepare status updates and project reports for leadership and stakeholders
Qualifications
Required Experience:
Minimum 6 years of full-time paid professional experience in logistics, relocation management, or F&E coordination
At least 3 years of experience in facility project management or coordination preferred
Proven ability to manage logistics across multiple concurrent projects
Familiarity with school construction or public agency environments is a plus
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in interior design, interior architecture, architecture, or a related field
OR an additional 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Skills & Competencies
Strong organizational and project coordination skills
Ability to read architectural and furniture layout drawings
Budgeting and cost management proficiency
Familiarity with AutoCAD (basic level)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
Capable of working with cross-functional teams and external vendors
Effective multitasker with a detail-oriented approach
