Overview
Logistics Coordinator Jobs in London Area, United Kingdom at Grind
Title: Logistics Coordinator
Company: Grind
Location: London Area, United Kingdom
A bit about us.
Grind is a coffee company that lives in London. Since opening Shoreditch Grind in 2011, we've expanded across London with cafés, coffee trucks and a state-of-the-art coffee roastery. Today, we serve millions of cups of coffee across London and the UK each year, and we’ve helped hundreds of thousands of people make better, more sustainable coffee at home. You’ll find our coffee beans, compostable coffee pods and ready-to-drink coffee cans – in supermarkets across the UK and in hotels around the world.
Roasting hundreds of tonnes of coffee each year, the roastery is the heart of our coffee operation. Our talented team sources coffee ethically, from sustainable farms around the world, and then roasts it every day in Bermondsey, south London. From there, it's packed and sent to our cafés, to supermarkets or to our customers directly.
We think coffee can be a force for good. Whether it's through creating the UK's first compostable coffee pods, our plastic-free packaging or carbon-free shipping – we're on a mission to be the world's most sustainable coffee company.
In 2023, we created our charity, the Better Coffee Foundation, to undo the damage done by the global coffee industry – in our first year, we recovered 43 million pods' worth of ocean-bound plastic.
A bit about the role.
We’re looking for an organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our growing Supply Chain team.
Reporting into the Logistics Manager, you’ll be the first point of contact for day-to-day operations with our 3PL and 3PM partners, helping to keep goods moving smoothly across suppliers, roasters, warehouses and customers.
You’ll coordinate inbound deliveries, outbound movements, purchase orders, stock transfers and goods receipts, making sure everything is accurate, visible and delivered on time. You’ll also play an important role in reporting, helping to flag discrepancies, surface risks and support the Logistics Manager in tracking logistics performance.
This is a great role for someone who is detail-focused, comfortable working with data, and enjoys being at the centre of a busy, fast-moving operation.
Role responsibilities.
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for our 3PL and 3PM partners, supporting smooth and accurate logistics operations.
- Coordinate inbound deliveries into our 3PL from suppliers, roasters and third-party manufacturers, including scheduling, documentation and goods receipts.
- Oversee outbound movements from our 3PL to B2B customers, ensuring orders are accurate, on time and any issues are clearly tracked.
- Maintain the B2B logistics dashboard, making sure issues are flagged and monitored against real-time movement data.
- Raise and track stock transfers, following progress through to completion and highlighting any delays or discrepancies.
- Receive, update and adjust purchase orders where required for stock movements through our 3PL.
- Work closely with the Logistics Manager to report on operational performance, service issues, risks and recurring challenges.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, internal teams and external partners to support seamless logistics flows.
- Provide cover and support across wider logistics tasks when needed.
- Work as part of the wider Supply Chain team to keep operations moving, flag risks early and support continuous improvement.
You’ll have.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse coordination, 3PL operations or a similar fast-paced operational role.
- A good understanding of warehouse, stock movement and 3PL processes.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and operational priorities at once.
- Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with purchase orders, stock transfers, receipts and delivery information.
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse, manage and present operational data clearly.
- Experience using inventory management systems, order management systems or similar operational platforms.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to spot issues, flag risks and follow through on actions.
- Clear communication skills and the confidence to manage relationships with suppliers, carriers, 3PL partners and internal teams.
- The ability to work calmly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to support the wider Supply Chain team where needed.
Bonus if you have…
- Experience working directly with, or for, a 3PL provider.
- Experience using CIN7, Shopify or similar inventory and ecommerce systems.
- Experience in FMCG, food, drink, retail, ecommerce or another product-based business.
- An understanding of B2B order fulfilment and wholesale logistics.
- A passion for coffee or an interest in the coffee industry.
