Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize our transportation and cargo management operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing logistics processes, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure efficient delivery.
Manage relationships with carriers, suppliers, and clients to optimize transportation solutions.
Track shipments and update clients on delivery status, addressing any potential delays.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Analyze logistics data and generate reports to improve operational efficiency.
Assist in negotiating freight rates and contracts with vendors.
Collaborate with warehouse and distribution teams to streamline processes.
Troubleshoot logistics challenges and provide quick, effective solutions.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Proven experience in logistics coordination, transportation management, or supply chain operations.
Strong understanding of logistics software and tracking systems.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
