What you will be doing:

  • Being the first point of contact for our drivers, communicating morning and afternoon vehicle movement plans to suit job requirements.
  • Work closely with drivers to ensure legal driving hours are adhered to and include regular taco checks.
  • Work with the Senior Logistics Manager to ensure smooth and efficient transportation of kit to the intended destination within strict timelines.
  • Communicate to relevant sites regarding stock movements.
  • Maintain truck and trailer inspections, MOT and service records.
  • Maintain daily trucking records for yearly comparison across jobs, including records of costs for vehicles and trailers.
  • Manage company fleet of vehicles, responsible for MOT’s, servicing, repairs, breakdowns and hire vehicles.
  • Maintain company fuel card administration.
  • Provide administrative support to the stock team as required.
  • Assisting with daily accommodation requirements, as required.
  • Supporting with crew transport requirements, booking hotels, and flights.
  • General administrative support with emails and telephone calls.

 

Who you are:

  • Previous knowledge of transportation planning is essential, with a minimum of two years’ experience.
  • Must have experience working in a similar role in the United Kingdom.
  • Experience working in a busy office environment, minimum of two years’ experience.
  • Must have a good understanding of HGV transport legislation and compliance.
  • A strong knowledge of tachograph regulations.
  • Proficient in data entry and analysis using tools such as Excel.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail to maintain accurate records and identify discrepancies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Have a positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a process-driven work ethic and be willing to learn.
  • Flexibility – able to adapt approach when individuals or the situation requires.
  • This role is based full-time in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, so you must be able to commute daily to the office.
