Job Title: Logistics Assistant
Job Summary
The Logistics Assistant will support the logistics and supply chain operations by coordinating the movement of goods, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery. They will work closely with vendors, drivers, and other departments to facilitate smooth logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments.
Monitor stock levels and ensure that they meet demand.
Conduct regular stock checks and update inventory systems.
Shipping & Receiving:
Assist in scheduling shipments and managing incoming deliveries.
Ensure proper documentation for shipments and receipts.
Track and update the status of deliveries and shipments.
Coordination with Vendors and Suppliers:
Communicate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Resolve any delivery or shipment issues in collaboration with vendors.
Data Entry & Documentation:
Enter shipping information and logistics data into systems.
Prepare and maintain delivery documentation, invoices, and reports.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.
Customer Service:
Assist in handling customer inquiries and provide timely updates on shipments.
Address any issues or complaints related to logistics and shipments.
Support Logistics Team:
Assist the logistics team in organizing and coordinating daily tasks.
Help with loading and unloading goods when necessary.
Cost Control:
Monitor logistics expenses and help optimize the logistics processes to reduce costs.
Reporting:
Generate reports on logistics performance, inventory status, and delivery times.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills And Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, Associate’s degree, or relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain management.
Experience: Previous experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and logistics software
** Previous work experience in Beverages Industry is a must**
