About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to join their team in Abu Dhabi office. The role is critical in ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through professional communication, efficient coordination, and a proactive approach to problem-solving across freight and logistics services.

Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on shipment tracking, documentation, and inquiries

Manage the order lifecycle from booking through delivery, including coordinating with internal departments (operations, customs, transport, etc.)

Provide timely and accurate shipment updates to customers

Handle escalations, delays, and exceptions with professionalism and urgency

Ensure that customer requirements are met in accordance with service agreements

Maintain accurate customer records and shipment details in internal systems

Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent service delivery

Prepare and send quotations, invoices, and documentation related to freight forwarding

Ensure compliance with customs and trade regulations in coordination with internal specialists

Support KPI reporting, performance reviews, and continuous improvement efforts

What are we looking for?

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or a customer service-related role

Strong understanding of air and ocean freight operations is highly preferred

Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with freight management or ERP systems is an advantage

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Customer-centric mindset with a proactive attitude

Must be currently based in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate
