My client is seeking a Logistics and Transportation Specialist to coordinate the administrative aspects of inbound and outbound trucking. This role is not a manual warehouse position but focuses on logistics operations. While basic knowledge of customs is preferred, the most important qualification is a strong willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the supply chain team to arrange shipments
Tender loads to carriers and coordinate schedules for pickups and deliveries
Gather shipping details from vendors and suppliers
Prepare customs documentation
Generate daily reports and track shipments
Follow up to ensure outbound deliveries are completed efficiently
Qualifications & Skills:
High School Diploma required; post-secondary education in logistics or supply chain is an asset
Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or transportation preferred
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory); conversational French is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including data management and reporting tools like pivot tables) and Microsoft Word
