JOB SUMMARY
The Logistics and Procurement Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth supply chain operations and timely delivery of EV charging station components, equipment, and services. This position combines strategic procurement, vendor management, and logistics coordination to support the rapid growth of EV infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, knowledge of sustainable sourcing, and experience in managing international and domestic logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for EV charging equipment, electrical components, and construction materials.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and new technologies relevant to EV charging infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with sustainability and environmental standards in procurement practices.
Logistics & Supply Chain
- Plan and coordinate the transportation, warehousing, and distribution of EV charging station equipment.
- Optimize logistics routes and methods to reduce costs and improve delivery timelines.
- Track shipments and resolve issues related to customs clearance, delays, or damages.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to align logistics with installation schedules.
- Implement inventory control systems to maintain adequate stock levels of critical components.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to local and international trade regulations, safety standards, and industry certifications.
- Identify and mitigate risks in procurement and logistics operations.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in renewable energy, oil and gas, and automobile industries.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, vendor management, and international trade regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
