Logistics Account Manager – Night Shift Jobs in Raleigh, NC at A&Z Trucking
The Logistics Account Manager over the evening shift will oversee and manage our team of Freight Coordinators to ensure smooth and efficient coordinator of all freight activities. This will include training, managing the team’s performance and addressing any challenges and problems that arise during the shift. This position will be responsible for communication at the start and end of each shift to ensure the smooth flow of activities and responsibilities that ultimately ensure the customer needs are met.
Primary Job Duties:
Serve as a working Freight Coordinator while also serving as a Supervisor to other members of the evening shift
Provide guidance, support and mentorship to ensure team members follow established SOPs in a timely manner
Ensure efficient and effective routing and scheduling to optimize the movement of freight
Implement proactive tracking measures to identify and address potential delays or issues during transit
Manage deadlines and cost-effectiveness
Provide accurate information on requirements, destinations, and delivery timelines
Ensure accurate and complete documentation for all freight
Utilize tracking systems to monitor the movement of freight in real-time
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with freight transportation
Implement contingency plans for unforeseen events such as weather disruptions or transportation delays
Work closely with other team members and partners to ensure seamless coordination and ensure customer satisfaction
Required Skills:
Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the freight logistics industry.
Strong understanding of freight coordination processes.
Highly prefer experience working with a 3PL.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
