Role
Reporting to the Manager, Supply Operations, the incumbent will coordinate rail supply logistics for customers in the U.S. northeast, oversee all incoming and outgoing traffic from the trainyard of the Jean Gaulin Refinery, and serve as the main contact with CN on operational matters. The role involves coordinating operational supply logistics and road transportation issues for various terminals and customers.
Responsibilities
Manage inventory and supply of distillates for rail customers in the U.S. northeast.
Oversee train movements in the yard of the Lévis refinery (main contact).
Manage rail cars out of service and coordinate repairs.
Verify demurrage invoices for rail movements.
Send daily plans to CN for all rail modes (manifests, interconnected trains, unit trains).
Manage terminal supply by road transportation.
Handle operational emergencies related to road transportation.
Ensure replacement of Technicians, Product Logistics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or logistics.
1-3 years of relevant experience.
Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).
Experience in the petroleum industry is a strong asset.
Proficiency in Excel and SAP/SAP BW is an asset.
Strong team player with initiative and leadership qualities.
Analytical skills and effective communication and negotiation abilities.
Valero Energy Inc. is governed by the Charter of the French Language. Knowledge of English is necessary for this position, as the individual will review documents and interact with colleagues and stakeholders in Canada and Texas.
