Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong understanding of truck driving, freight handling, and adherence to safety regulations. Candidates with experience in operating different types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and refrigerated trailers, are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Operate and drive various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
Load and unload freight securely to ensure safe transport.
Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other required documentation.
Communicate with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays during transport.
Ensure the proper handling of goods to prevent damage during transit.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in truck driving with knowledge of freight handling.
Ability to operate different types of trucks including refrigerated trailers and roll-off trucks.
Strong understanding of route driving and navigation skills.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Ability to lift heavy loads as required during loading and unloading processes.
