We are hiring!
We are currently hiring a Class A CDL driver in the Worcester, MA area.
Salary: $35.00 an hour, with additional per shift vehicle inspection time pay.
Benefits: Two weeks paid vacation after one year of employment, plus 11 paid holidays.
Duties: Transport mail and empty equipment in rolling carts and/or pallets from the United States Postal Service distribution center in Shrewsbury, MA to the Framingham, MA Post Office and Boston, MA distribution center.
You will be traveling on the Mass Pike into Boston twice in the afternoon to the South Boston tunnel exit 135 with the facility about 1/4 of a mile after that. We are looking for an experienced dock banger who is not afraid of Boston traffic.
Light touch freight – you will be required to assist with loading and unloading (everything rolls).
Schedule: Monday through Friday 3:05pm until 10:00pm
The ideal candidate must:
– Pass a full background investigation and pre-employment drug test
– Hold a valid Class A CDL with an exceptional driving record
– Have at least one year of unsupervised experience driving a tractor-trailer
– Hold a current DOT medical card
– Be able to operate a manual shift
– Prepare appropriate time records
– Maintain security of the mail at all times
– Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and equipment
