Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently within designated routes. This position requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage the loading and unloading of freight. The Local Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.
Duties
Operate flatbed Tractor trailer
Safely load and unload freight at designated locations.
Follow assigned routes for deliveries while maintaining a schedule.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and vehicle maintenance.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Experience
Proven experience in truck driving or delivery driving is preferred.
Familiarity with route driving and local traffic patterns is advantageous.
Experience with loading and unloading freight safely is a plus.
A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required, with endorsements for tanker or flatbed preferred.
Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance practices is beneficial.
