Job description
We currently have an opening for a local CDL Semi-Truck company driver.
We are looking for a team player to join our family oriented business. This position requires seasonal/occasional driver assist pallets for Target stores. You must be punctual and available to work during the day Monday to Friday. Start of day is usually between 6am and 9am and end of day is dependent on freight and the time of day you start work. We do not have regular work on Saturday or Sunday but will occasionally offer it to whoever wants the extra income.
The ability to make overtime pay
Work Monday to Friday – you go home every day
Operate within 150 mile radius of home base – mostly within 50 miles – absolutely no overnight driving or long haul
Assigned trucks – only swap out if truck is in shop
No Haz-Mat
Dry van and reefer trailers only (reefer only 5% used)
Trucks are maintained regularly
In house dedicated dispatch
Messaging app – no Qualcomm
ALWAYS given time for lunch and breaks
Pay is based on previous experience and record. You have the opportunity to get paid overtime after 40 hours. All time is calculated by clocking in/out. We are currently unable to offer health insurance benefits, but are looking to change that in the future.
You must have driven full time for over 2 years
You must have a clean driving license and low CSA score
You must have a phone and gmail email account with unlimited data for the messaging app we use company wide – this is a requirement for the job and we do not provide cell phones or pay for data
