Advertised Pay Range: $26/hour
Shift: 3:00pm – 1:00am – M-F (Potential Saturday OT)
Required CDL Class A License
This position will be eligible for a $500 sign on bonus at the completion of the 90 day probationary period.
SUMMARY:
GreenTree Freight is a rapidly growing freight company who is looking for a full-time 2nd shift CDL Driver at our Chicago, IL location. This position will work to support the Shipping and Receiving department at the site. This position will report directly to the Director of Logistics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Transporting local loads from sister company to freezer and customer.
· Complete local runs within 50 miles of the site daily.
· All other tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Must have current CDL Class A license
· Must have current physical.
· Must have at least one year of consistent commercial driving experience with a CDL A license.
· Must have valid Driver’s License.
· High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
· Excellent attendance and reliability required
· Work with others in a respectful manner and as a member of the team to achieve departmental goals
· Excellent attention to detail and organization required
· Must possess written and verbal communication skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
· Must be present on the job to perform the assigned duties and be able to work overtime which is often required to meet production schedules
