Job Title: Local Driver
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Local/Regional Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local routes, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to safety. Most weekends off start and end your day every day in Plymouth MI. 100% Open deck freight but willing to train load securement. Must have 2 years of verifiable experience. Must be able and willing to tarp and chain. Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
Duties:
– Perform commercial driving tasks such as delivery driver duties and route driving
– Safely load and unload freight as required
– Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
– Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks
– Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members
Experience:
– Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record and 2 years cdl experience
– Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles
– Ability to operate forklifts is a plus
– Strong knowledge of local roads and routes
Skills:
– Flatbed driving experience
