Description:
The Load Planner at 4WRD Freight & Logistics Group is responsible for the critical task of efficiently planning and optimizing freight loads for our network of carriers. You will utilize your understanding of transportation logistics to consider various factors such as weight, dimensions, routes, equipment availability, and delivery timelines to create cost-effective and timely transportation plans. This role requires strong spatial reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in using load planning software. Your ability to create optimized load plans directly contributes to the efficiency of our operations and the satisfaction of our carriers and customers.
Skills:
Strong spatial reasoning and problem-solving abilities, solid understanding of transportation logistics and freight characteristics, meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in using load planning or transportation management software, excellent time management and organizational skills.
Roles:
Plan and optimize freight loads considering factors like weight, dimensions, and equipment type, determine the most efficient routes and delivery schedules, communicate load plans and requirements to carriers and dispatch, ensure load planning meets customer delivery requirements and carrier capabilities, utilize load planning software to maximize efficiency, identify and resolve any issues related to load planning.
