Role Description The LAX Domestic Agent is a full-time, on-site role based in Compton, CA, responsible for coordinating and managing domestic freight shipments. Day-to-day tasks include processing air and ground freight orders, preparing and reviewing shipping documentation, and ensuring accurate data entry into logistics systems. The role involves communicating with customers, carriers, and internal teams to arrange pickups and deliveries, resolve issues, and provide shipment status updates. The LAX Domestic Agent also monitors transit times, tracks shipments, and supports compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This position works closely with operations staff to maintain service quality, meet deadlines, and support continuous improvement in domestic logistics processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience with domestic freight operations, including air and ground logistics, shipment routing, and quoting.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, including accurate data entry, documentation handling, and time management.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, carriers, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency with logistics or transportation management systems, Microsoft Office applications, and basic computer literacy.

  • Understanding of basic shipping regulations, safety practices, and compliance requirements; prior logistics or transportation experience preferred.
