Position Summary
AZEX Trucking LLC is seeking a Junior Safety Specialist to join our Baku-based team supporting U.S. trucking operations during night shift hours. This position is well-suited for a detail-oriented professional with excellent English communication skills, strong judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive conversations with composure and professionalism. Work Schedule
Monday–Friday (or per company schedule), 18:00–02:00 (Baku time), on-site at our Baku office.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor driver safety performance and compliance in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and FMCSA regulations
- Serve as a communication point between drivers, dispatch teams, and carrier partners regarding safety matters
- Document, track, and report safety incidents, violations, and accidents accurately and promptly
- Support negotiations and resolve disputes related to safety compliance in a calm, professional manner
- Assist in the development and enforcement of internal safety policies and procedures
- Escalate critical or complex issues to senior safety staff or management as appropriate
- Maintain accurate records and reporting documentation for internal and regulatory purposes
Qualifications
- English language proficiency at C1 level or higher (required) — strong written and verbal communication is essential, as this role involves direct interaction with U.S.-based drivers and partners
- Russian language proficiency (an advantage)
- Degree or coursework in a related field — logistics, transportation, safety management, business administration (an advantage, not required)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability and sound judgment under pressure
- Confident negotiation skills and the ability to manage difficult conversations professionally
- Comfortable working night shifts and independently managing responsibilities during those hours
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Prior experience in logistics, customer service, or a related field is a plus, but not required
