Position Overview

The Junior Merchandiser will play a leading role in managing the Home Accessories department; ensuring optimal stock levels, analysing sales performance, and supporting key merchandising functions. Additionally, this role will provide essential support for Wholesale and Franchise partners; managing order processing, stock allocation, and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Range Planning and Trading

Help build department strategy, drive sales and margin and deliver business KPIS, across all channels.

Plan and trade continuity product to ensure we have availability to meet our customer demands including line cards, stock movement, setting and reviewing required stock levels/mins for all channels.

Working with Product Team to plan newness and all line buys, ensure clear pricing strategy and uploading any price changes

Maintaining the WSSI in line with the needs of the department, weekly analysis of performance and actions

Leading Seasonal roll-ups, ensuring all relevant information for product sign-offs

Management of intake phasing and freight optimisation. Ensuring, timely launch, accurate uplifts and rates, and flagging findings and variances.  

Market awareness of competitors ‘offer, pricing and activity

Sales Support for Wholesale, Franchise and Partner Accounts

Support Sales Order inputting for above customer categories. 

Review demand and ensure sufficient supply to fulfil sales order, placing Special Purchase Orders as necessary, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries closely with logistics and warehouse teams to coordinate deliveries and manage stock allocations efficiently.

Maintain accurate sales and order records, assisting with performance reporting and identifying key trends.

Data & Reporting

Produce and design outstanding reporting to potentialize any commercial opportunities.

Maintain accurate sales, stock, and margin reports, supporting financial forecasting and merchandising decisions. Track and analyse sell-through rates, stock turn, and margin performance to support strategic decision-making.

Produce weekly and monthly reports on stock performance for internal stakeholders, identifying risks and opportunities.

Lead in range reviews, ensuring merchandising strategies are aligned with both commercial and customer needs.

Cross-Department Collaboration

Liaising with and cultivating good relationships with the Retail, Ecommerce, Logistics and Buying teams to include regular store walks to drive performance.

Liaising with Finance on any payment discrepancies/proforma payments.

Building strong supplier relationships with weekly calls, analysing their KPIS

Collaborate with the E-commerce and Retail teams to ensure product availability, accurate online listings, and visual merchandising consistency.

Support the implementation of promotions and seasonal launches.

Assist in problem-solving stock issues, helping to improve operational efficiencies across Wholesale and Retail.
