Our client is looking for an organized and effective International Logistics Specialist to direct shipping/receiving, supply chain and warehousing operations overseas. The International Logistics Specialist should be a problem solver, with the ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions as well as operate independently. The International Logistics Specialist should also be experienced in navigating cross-cultural differences in the workplace. A multilingual individual with strong communications skills in Arabic or Urdu is highly desired. Candidates should be interested in travelling on rotations and/or relocating to the Middle East, North Africa, or South Asia.
The successful candidate will:
Oversee and coordinate the efficient transportation and storage of products, equipment and materials, ensuring the goods arrive at their destinations safely, timely, and cost-effectively.
Be responsible for the company’s supply chain management system.
Manage inventory levels, negotiate with freight carriers, achieve productivity targets, and resolve any customer service issues to ensure the logistics process runs efficiently.
Need to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and perform your duties in a manner that maximizes profits.
Be dedicated, competent and have strong leadership skills.
Have Arabic/Urdu language fluency, with the ability to read instructions and communicate in English.
Be interested in relocating on a rotational basis.
Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Prepare and review reports regularly, providing insights and recommendations for optimizing logistics operations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration strongly preferred.
Proven experience in warehouse management and/or freight forwarding procedures and best practices, to include proficiency in logistics software and systems.
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with international shipping regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong leadership, organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills.
