About the role:
The International Logistics & EPA Document Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the business and customers by planning shipments, monitoring their progress, and preparing necessary documents to meet regulatory requirements. This position ensures seamless international logistics operations and compliance with trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Run daily international reports for various shipment status levels.
Coordinate with Trade Compliance to verify the accuracy of tariff codes and resolve any forwarder questions related to tariff and harmonized codes.
Schedule order pickups by coordinating with planning, customer service, credit, customers, and their freight forwarders.
Work to clear order holds related to production, freight forwarders, import, credit, customer, and trade compliance issues.
Liaise with regional sales managers and distributors to arrange shipments and manage changes to logistics.
Track and coordinate the movement of goods through the value chain.
Execute logistics operations, ensuring order consolidation within the month.
Review freight rates for material returns through Corporate Logistics.
Manage order modifications, including partial shipments, combined orders, and split shipments via air or ocean.
Organize and oversee air and ocean shipments.
Manage container live load schedules to ensure material readiness.
Learn and manage all EPA FM200 (HFC200) documentation for EPA RACA monthly filings.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience with international logistics and customer shipping.
Experience handling hazardous goods shipments internationally.
Strong background in customer service.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Experience working with ERP systems (JD Edwards ERP experience is a plus).
Preferred Experience & Skills:
5 years of experience in international logistics.
DOT/IATA/IMDG certification is a plus.
JD Edwards ERP experience is a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Highly organized and capable of working under pressure.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong time management skills.
