International Logistics Director

Job Purpose
The International Logistics Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership, governance oversight, and operational direction to the International Logistics division. This role ensures sustainable growth, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, risk management, and strong financial performance across all regions.
The role leads a multidisciplinary leadership team across customs, forwarding, regional operations, Africa expansion, transport strategy, and project cargo. A key focus is driving innovation, automation, and continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with customs regulations, ISO standards, and corporate governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the division
- Drive sustainable business growth and profitability
- Strengthen client retention and customer value delivery
- Ensure regulatory compliance and governance oversight
- Lead business development and market expansion (including Africa)
- Drive innovation, automation, and digital transformation
- Ensure operational excellence and process optimisation
- Lead ESG and sustainability initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Essential)
- Postgraduate qualification in Business Administration / Logistics (Advantageous)
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification (Advantageous)
Experience Required
- Minimum 8 years’ leadership experience managing multi-functional teams
- Proven track record in driving operational and financial performance
- Experience in customs compliance and regulatory risk management
- Exposure to transformation, automation, or process improvement initiatives
- Strong background in customer relationship management and business development
- Experience managing large-scale or regional logistics operations
