Job Overview
The Trade Operations Group is a critical support team for our Trading and Sales departments, ensuring the seamless and timely movement of freight from vendors to warehouses and ultimately to customer facilities. This team is integral in managing logistics, warehousing, invoicing, and compliance within stringent food-grade standards. Additionally, the international role within the team will be responsible for working autonomously amongst the group to ensure all tasks are managed efficiently from gathering quotes, coordinating shipments and being a master organizer that pulls together, sales, operations, vendors, customers, customs agents, and freight forwarders to deliver on successful international trades.

Responsibilities and Duties
Coordinate and oversee the transportation of dairy products from dairy vendors to warehousing facilities and customer locations.
Ensure all shipments are scheduled, tracked, and delivered on time, addressing any logistical challenges promptly.
 Maintain regular communication with dairy vendors to confirm production schedules and shipping details.
Liaise with warehousing and trading partners to manage inventory levels and ensure storage conditions meet food-grade standards. In addition to best ship/ delivery points that benefit the organization.
Serve as a point of contact for customers, providing updates on shipment statuses and addressing any inquiries or issues.
Strong understanding of international shipping requirements and paperwork processing, including but not limited to Proforma creation, booking details and status, certification processes, quality assurance processes, commercial invoicing, and customs clearance processing.
Strong communicator with ability to manage communication between, freight forwarders, international customs agencies, sales, operations, international customer customers, and domestic vendors.
Generate, review, and process invoices for dairy product shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Collaborate with the finance team to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoicing.
Maintain accurate records of all logistics movements, warehousing activities, and customer interactions.
Analyze and present reports on logistics performance, inventory levels, and compliance status for management review.
Address and resolve any issues related to customer satisfaction promptly and effectively.
Execute or continuously suggest process improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of trade operations on an international scale.
Efficiently enter and update large volumes of data into company operating system while ensuring accuracy
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year college
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a MUST
Flexible in a high pace environment
An ability to provide attention to detail.
Willing to develop within a role with the intention of providing the best and most productive support to the overall team.
Proactive and able to solve problems as they arise.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel, and Power BI
Must be located in the greater St. Louis area.
