Our client is one of the largest providers of intermodal drayage services in the US with a long track record of stability, growth, and profitability. We are seeking, a results-oriented, Intermodal Dispatcher in Southern California. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the domestic rail terminals in California. This role is onsite and reports to the Managing Director.

Salary: $65-75K plus incentive compensation paid monthly
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and dispatching of customers’ freight.
- Provide excellent support to independent contractors and respond to questions and troubleshooting concerns in a timely manner.
- Administer the movement of freight to ensure customer satisfaction while aligning with operational capabilities.
- Dispatching driver contractors from one route to another.
- Communicate with drivers regarding load paperwork, pay, accessorial, and other documentation.
- Interact with terminal team members to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all driver facing communication and support.
- Monitor performance and available hours of owner operator drivers.
- Collaborate with customer service and sales to provide solutions and resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or higher education.
- Driver-Dispatch Management, Intermodal Transportation (3 years).
- Strong communication skills, able to interact and build relationships with driver contractors
- Expertise in domestic intermodal and rail terminals-53’ containers.
- Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Suite, REZ1, Customer Interface portal, etc.
- Experience with TenStreet, GTG Dispatch System, or Samsara ELD is a plus.
- DOT rules and regulations/safety and compliance experience.
- Strong attention to detail while working with driver contract pay documents, load pricing, FSC, etc.
