About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Intermodal Associate to join our team. In this role, you will support the coordination of intermodal transport operations, manage communication with customers and transport providers, and ensure the smooth movement of cargo by rail and road. You will also prepare quotations, coordinate deliveries, and contribute to operational reporting. Key responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day communication with customers and provide excellent service.
- Prepare customer quotations and proactively follow up on sales opportunities.
- Coordinate the arrival and departure of shipping containers.
- Organize and coordinate domestic and international cargo transportation.
- Plan transport operations with rail and road freight carriers.
- Verify customer payments before arranging deliveries.
- Coordinate door-to-door deliveries between suppliers and customers to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and customers.
- Maintain operational statistics and preparing data analyses.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management is preferable
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and statistics
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- Proficiency in using office software (e.g., MS Excel, Word) is an advantage
- Proven experience in container freight forwarding
- Thorough knowledge of customs procedures and regulations.
- Ability to independently perform import and export customs clearance.
- Ability to prepare T1 transit documents, EUR.1 certificates and all other required customs documentation.
- Experience in working and communicating with Customs authorities.
- Good knowledge of customs legislation and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in using customs software applications
- Slovenian language proficiency at C2 level is mandatory.
- English language proficiency at B2 level or higher is required.
Additional Information:
- Candidates with experience in intermodal logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, or supply chain operations will be given preference.
