The Import Leader will lead and facilitate the processing of all air import shipments and all related activities for import product in an efficient, cost-effective and timely manner. Oversees ocean import documentation review, entry filing preparation for US Customs Release, and all operational processes related to ensuring timely delivery.

Essential Job Functions:

Leads operations team and delegates import activities on a day-to-day basis.

Drives product KPI compliance and milestone updates.

Supports relationships with key customers and key suppliers resolving concerns, interacting with customer service, operations and sales personnel to resolve any conflicts on a timely basis.

Audits import documentation.

Leads team in obtaining and processing of Customs Release and other government agency releases as appropriate, arranging delivery, and invoicing import shipments according to SOP.

Leads coordination of the release of goods from the carrier, customs or other governmental agency examinations that may be required.

Other duties as assigned.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Understanding of Customs regulations, tariffs and interpretations.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Must have excellent client service skills, responding promptly and professionally to client needs and requests for service and assistance.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. currency, weight, volume and distance measurements.

Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, email and various PC based software.

Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills.

Strong computer skills.

Professional certification may be required in some areas.
