Job Title: Import Logistics Operations Specialist
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Import Logistics Operations Specialist to direct, coordinate, and streamline daily import distribution and customer service within our Logistics Department. In this role, you will supervise logistics personnel, optimize operational workflows, and ensure seamless coordination among carriers, customs brokers, warehouses, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Direct day-to-day inbound/outbound logistics, ocean/air import operations, container tracking, and warehousing activities to hit accuracy, cost, and timeline goals.
- Team Supervision: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate logistics coordinators; assign daily workflows and step in to resolve operational errors or delays.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Accounting, and Order Management teams to seamlessly integrate logistics functions into daily business operations.
- Compliance & Carrier Oversight: Monitor import entries and documentation to ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements; enforce carrier adherence to transit schedules and company policies.
- Problem Resolution: Act as the main point of contact for resolving complex issues related to ocean/air transportation, customs clearance, freight charges, and customer inquiries.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess internal logistics workflows and database tools to improve operational efficiency and tracking accuracy.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Language Requirement:Must be bilingual in English and Mandarin (Chinese) with excellent professional communication skills in both languages (verbal and written).
- Work Experience:
- 1–2 years of direct experience in NVOCC / Freight Forwarding required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Logistics Operations required.
- Proven experience in logistics customer service and vendor management.
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience is preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree (or 4 years of college equivalent) preferred.

- Spreadsheets: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data manipulation, formulas, pivot tables, and reports).
- Office Tools: Fluent in professional email platforms, calendar management, and scheduling software.
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
