Role Description
We are seeking an organised, forward-thinking Import & Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team. Reporting to the Logistics & Commercial Manager, you will own day-to-day import operations, stock reconciliation and transport scheduling—ensuring our products move smoothly from port to customer.
You’ll thrive in a customer-focused, fast-moving environment, be a quick learner, and show initiative when plans change.
Key Responsibilities
Import & Customs
Prepare and maintain Bills of Lading, customs invoices and other import documentation
Liaise with freight forwarders, customs agents and HMRC to ensure compliant, on-time clearance
Track container and cargo schedules; resolve any customs delays
Logistics Coordination
Arrange and book transport; input driver schedules; produce delivery paperwork
Monitor stock movements, update inventory and delivery data in ERP systems
Collect PODs promptly and prepare files for invoicing
Reporting & Process Improvement
Reconcile stock purchases and movements; maintain inventory schedules
Provide weekly updates to Management and Directors; highlight process-improvement opportunities
Support quality-management initiatives and data analytics projects
What We’re Looking For
Essential
Experience in logistics / transport or import operations
Working knowledge of import/export regulations
High attention to detail & organisational skills
Excellent written & verbal communication
Desirable
Knowledge of fuel sector
Good geographical knowledge of UK road network
Previous use of inventory or ERP systems
Formal logistics or supply-chain qualification
What We Offer
£25,000 – £27,000 salary
