Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods from one location to another, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and efficient transportation system. This role requires a strong focus on safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork.
Duties:
– Drive a tractor-trailer or other heavy-duty vehicles to transport goods to customers across the country.
– Operate a variety of vehicles, including flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks, to accommodate different types of freight.
– Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, adhering to all safety and maintenance regulations.
– Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
– Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, using manual transmission and forklift skills as needed.
– Drive on various routes, navigating through traffic and adhering to all traffic laws.
– Manage delivery schedules, ensuring timely arrival at customer destinations.
– Communicate with customers and other drivers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
– Keep accurate records of vehicle maintenance, fuel usage, and delivery schedules.
– Maintain a professional demeanor, providing excellent customer service and representing the company in a positive manner.
Requirements:
– Valid CDL Class A license.
– Proven experience as a truck driver, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
– Ability to operate a variety of vehicles, including tractor-trailers, tankers, and roll-off trucks.
– Strong knowledge of manual transmission and forklift operation.
– Excellent route driving skills, with the ability to navigate through heavy traffic.
– Experience with freight delivery and management.
– Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers and other drivers effectively.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Commitment to safety and compliance with all regulations and policies.
– Physical stamina to perform the duties of the role, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $5,000.00 – $11,000.00 per week
