Position Overview:
The Hotel Port Operations Manager will oversee the Disney Cruise Line Logistics team to support transportation, consolidation, and logistics services for operational ships and islands, focusing on food and beverage operations. This role will collaborate with Walt Disney World Procurement Services, Distribution Services, and all Disney Cruise Line operational areas. It involves being part of the logistics planning team, primarily coordinating the movement of information and products from origin to destination.
The role requires expected travel onboard the fleet, updating LOG’s, auditing onboard operations, ensuring USPH and Coast Guard compliance, and maintaining consistency, standardization, and stability.
Responsibilities:
Ensure operational excellence of the Disney Cruise Line fleet and provisions.
Manage provision scheduling, setup, and communication with internal and external clients.
Conduct quarterly performance reviews for all dedicated provision providers.
Research and identify potential new port itineraries.
Partner with Supply Chain Logistics, Trade Compliance, and external partners for seamless coordination.
Collaborate with DCL Sourcing Specialists to ensure PO data accuracy and work with Expeditors on standard and expedited shipping requests.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations.
Participate in cross-training initiatives for onboard hotel stores operations.
Ensure the shipboard team complies with SMS policies, Virus Response Matrix, IMS, Coast Guard, USPH, and safety measures.
Regularly review and update LOG, SMS, and other policies and procedures for consistency and effectiveness.
Conduct training sessions and audits to ensure compliance and operational standards.
Support shipboard teams in planning and executing new itineraries, guest, and crew events.
Schedule staff meetings with Hotel Stores Managers.
Maintain accuracy and effectiveness of LOG updates and training materials.
Implement new inventory management systems across the fleet.
Uphold safety responsibilities as outlined in the Safety Management System.
Basic Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in the cruise line industry or back-of-house food and beverage operations.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and various databases.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Required
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
