Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Hot Shot Owner Operators to join our team under lease. As an independent contractor, you’ll operate your own truck and trailer while leveraging our authority, insurance, and support to run your business smoothly. Whether you prefer local runs or regional routes, we offer flexibility, consistent freight, and a supportive operations team to help you succeed.
key Responsibilities
Transport freight using a dually truck and flatbed trailer (preferably 30-40 ft gooseneck).
Ensure timely pickups and deliveries of cargo with a professional attitude.
Secure loads properly using chains, straps, and tarps as needed.
Communicate with dispatch regarding load details, delivery updates, and trip documentation.
Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and Roman Transport LLC’s safety standards.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on your vehicle and equipment.
Requirements
Must own a dually truck (1-ton preferred) and flatbed trailer.
Valid Class A or Class C driver’s license (depending on load size/requirements).
Must have active DOT medical card.
At least 1 year of commercial driving experience (preferred but not required).
Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) and no recent major violations.
Must have necessary tie-down equipment (straps, chains, binders, tarps).
