If you thrive on independence, enjoy route driving, and are committed to delivering exceptional service, this position is your next career move!DutiesSafely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA and DOT regulations.Transport various types of freight, including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, flatbed loads, and tanker cargo, ensuring secure handling throughout transit.Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes and adapt to changing conditions for timely deliveries.Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques or forklift equipment when necessary, maintaining proper cargo security and documentation.Comply with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods, ensuring proper documentation and safety procedures are followed.Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards.Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo manifests in accordance with FMCSA regulations.Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or potential issues during transit.RequirementsProven experience as a commercial truck driver with a focus on over-the-road (OTR) routes; delivery driver experience is highly valued.Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat) and tanker operations preferred.Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently.Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation is a plus.Strong knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations.Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; ability to handle manual handling tasks confidently.Ability to navigate using GPS systems accurately while managing route schedules effectively.Physically capable of loading/unloading freight and handling logistics cargo safely.Flexibility to work extended hours on various OTR routes; a commitment to safety and compliance is essential.Embark on an energetic career that keeps you moving forward!
